Hello Gentle Reader (ooops wrong start). Anyway, after years of being prodded by my friend B from Bangalore and my, shall we say, chiper and triller from the big bad city from the north, I hereby take the plunge. Often resisted the urge - shy and retiring sort that I am - to air my thoughts in public.
So here goes. I owe my adoring public (slow down, F, you are getting ahead of yourself) an explanation for the title. I sit in a wooden balcony over looking terraced rice fields being prepared for the sowing. The rain pitter patters overhead and when I look up from my laptop I see a rambling rose. Right name for a blog or is it too umm err... rosy? Well I do intend my blog to be about rambles in fantasy land so why not? Decisions, Decisions! But then I thought about B from Bangalore with who I have a common interest - Hobson Jobson! And I am in part of India where history and particularly English history has a lot to speak for. So why not Hobson Jobson? But then there would always be copyright issues which I would have to surmount if I my blog became as famous as their book. (SLOW DOWN, F). So lets look for another musical word I thought. And what happens to most, including me, when they are away from their homes in alien places and the water does not suit them? No, that did not happen to me. But yes, they get collywobbles. And when one has collywobbles, one does not ramble, does one. One needs to run to be relieved. No, FF, this did not happen to me. And, and, when one is a Piscean, one has to bring out the dichotomy, right. So here it is, ladies and gentlemen, my blog, dedicated to the two Bs in my life....
